I almost feel that I shouldn’t be thinking about this, as so many people have life threatening situations… but this to me is life changing.
And ironic that I get the news on Valentines day.
Yes the ‘cure’ for prostate cancer (just about any option) has the side affect of erectile dysfunction (along with many other issues).
25-40% of men lost full erectile function after treatment.
I also worry about the fact of finding someone now that I am diagnosed with this condition. I would think that majority of women would not willingly go into a new relationship knowing that the new partner may be not able to be sexually active in a few years.
And it also means there are ‘care’ issues…long term prognosis is uncertain… lifestyle changes…. lots of things that impact future relationships.
Definitely changes the dating game…… 🙁
