Making a decision.
It is a finite moment in your life, each time you make a decision.
Big or small.. it changes you.
The little decision sometimes more than the big decisions, since you often do not think about them as much. And they add up to so much a part of your life.
That candy bar you eat…
Speeding…
Going out with friends….
Finishing or not finishing a project at work before the weekend….
Saying please and thank you….
All these little decisions define who you are.
And the big decisions… they can take your life in a new direction.
Decisions at times can be hard to make. Once you realize that a decisions impacts your life, you may start to dwell on the implications.
I made a few big decisions over the last few years.
Some were good, some were not, a few have definitely changed my life in a positive way.
I have also noticed that I have refrained from making decisions. Since taking some big steps, going through with big decisions, I almost feared making anymore. I was scared, as I enjoyed the new path that I was on. It was comfortable, it was new and exciting. And when you make a decision, you don’t know what to expect.
So I was stuck in this grey area where I was no longer making decisions.
It caused stress at times, but also was comfortable at times.
But I knew all along that I would not grow, not become who I needed to become if I did not continue to make decisions.
I needed to change, to continue to change… and the only way was to every day make new decisions.
From there, the actions needed to change would start.
It’s time… time to make decisions… to not shy away.
I may not make the right decision every time… but I will learn, I will grow, I will move forward. I need that today.
