This past weekend I attended the Flip Your Switch seminar. It is based on the book by Suze Casey called Belief Re-Patterning. Suze hosts the event herself.
There was around a hundred people in attendance.
As well there were another 15 or so Gratitude Team Members. These are people there to help the attendees, make sure things go well, that group activities run effectively, and to answer questions and make people feel at ease.
The key concept is that we all want to be happy. We want to think positive, and BE POSITIVE!
Yet no one really tells us how.
How do you get out of the ‘ick’ and get to feeling good?
Suze, through her own life experiences, using her background in education, and her research on the conscious and sub-conscious mind has put together a system to train people to be positive.
The system goes through seven steps that embed new patterns into the sub-conscious mind.
Suze Casey is the ‘How-To’ person for Positive Thinking!!!
The energy throughout the three-day seminar was amazing. Many stories were told, many tears were shed, and many lives were changed.
My own personal thoughts.
I am a very positive person already, I have went through a lot of changes in the past few years.
The first part of the seminar, I was feeling not quite at ease. What we realized was occuring was that I was already part way there, part way through her seven steps, and therefore the first couple steps did not resonate with me. Through talking with different members of the gratitude team, as well as many inspiring conversations with my ‘Swim-buddy’ Kim, (each participant gets paired up with a partner, who is referred to as their Swim-buddy for the weekend) I was able to figure that out, and as the weekend progressed and the focus moved to the latter part of the system, all the ideas and concepts began to fall into place.
One of the key ideas that Suze has is the focus on personal gratitude. Each and every one of us have unique abilities. We are all special. We all do things differently, and we all need to focus on the little things we do well.
We don’t give ourselves enough credit, we need to pat ourselves on the back more often for all the good things we do.
Suze reminds us of this on a regular basis throughout the weekend.
The other concept that inspired me was the idea of the body, mind and spirit all working together. In order for us to have true peace in our lives, real happiness, there has to be harmony with the body, mind and spirit. They need to communicate, we need to have awareness of what our body is telling us, what our mind is speaking, and what our spirit is feeling. Her training shows us how this can be done.
Overall this was such an uplifting weekend. I would recommend that everyone could benefit from the training that Suze Casey offers.
If you are interested, she runs introductory 2 hour events. Connect with me and I will let you know when and where the next one is happening.
